equity pricing

In an effort to offer more access to my work and deepen my involvement in the Solidarity Economy I've implemented a sliding scale pricing model for all of my available work. In addition to my ongoing pay what you can project, this is another way I hope to challenge systemic inequity and cultivate mutually empowering economic relationships.

In choosing a tier I ask you to be honest with yourself about your financial situation and pay what feels right. I won't ask about your payment choice and trust that you will choose the tier that's right for you.

Consider the Equity tier if you:

·         are a caregiver

·         have the burden of medical expenses or significant debt

·         are eligible for public assistance

·         are an unpaid community organizer

·         are an elder with limited income

·         are a person of marginalized identity

·         are descended from enslaved or Indigenous people

Consider the Standard tier if you:

·         have no dependents

·         are able to pay your bills with relative ease

·         have employer-supplied health insurance and other benefits

·         own a car or have access to reliable transportation

·         have a financial safety net or the ability to financially weather an emergency

Consider the Supporter tier if you:

·         own the home you live in

·         own a second home and/or other investments

·         travel recreationally

·         do not need to work fulltime to meet your financial needs

·         have inherited wealth

I understand that the Equity tier remains prohibitive for many folks. If more flexibility is needed I will work with you on a payment plan or other creative reciprocity arrangement. Please email me at thebinderie@gmail.com
